« Thread Started on Dec 20, 2008, 11:15am »

The night of 12-18-08, my wife and I along with our cat were watching TV. Our cat began looking at something very intently. It was if she was watching something move around the room.

I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures in the direction the cat was looking. I got this:

Here it is again Negative for clarity:

PS If this link works, I'll post the images from AmyG's pics.

It looks like a fast moving orb. Is the glow below it part of it or is it like a glow from the paint on the doorway? It almost looks like it is part of this swirl, kind of like it shot upwards.

I believe the bright spot on the doorway is the reflection of the camera flash.

In all I took about 20 pictures, pointing the camera in the direction our cat was looking. This is the only one of the bunch that had anything of interest.

I have no idea what it may be.

Interesting....it is hard to judge but it looks quite big, isnīt it? I think itīs kinda ectoplasma and I think it is definitively not a bug. As Amyg say it seems to shot upwards. Very good pic indeed.

Happy Holiday season to all!!

Hi Paddlefoot,

Yes, it is a very interesting "thing." I have to wonder how large it was. It is hard to tell by the picture. Can you describe the type of home you live in? Is it old, any other activity, past events? What color was it?

To all of you, I want to wish you a very happy holiday.

ALSO, I had something really strange occur this past weekend in my home. I am going to investigate it more tonight and if it is as I think, I will report out tomorrow. IT IS DIFFERENT.......

I didn't see this "thing" as I was snapping pictures. I was looking at our cat and watching where she was looking, and tried to aim my camera in that direction.

The door frame leads into the master bath and is about 10-12 feet away from where I sat as I took the picture.

My camera is a Pentax Optio W10, 6.1 megapixels (and I use 'em all). This image is 100% (cropped of course).

If I had to guess at the size of the "thing", and that's all it is, a guess. I would say about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. The door hinge is a standard size which I believe is 3 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. Not knowing how far from the door frame the "thing" was at the time, it's impossible for me to be accurate.

Our cat was curled up between my wife and I with her face pointed toward our faces. She sprang up on all fours and started staring toward the master bath. My camera just happened to be on the nightstand, so I picked it up and started taking pictures in the direction the cat was looking. My wife said that she was looking in the same direction as the cat, but did not see anything. My wife was surprised to see this image.

We have a ceiling fan in the bedroom, but it was not on at the time as my wife is cold natured.

We live in an apartment, that I would guess are 20 years old. I do not know the history of this apartment or the complex beyond the estimate of age.

Most of what I've written on this site pertaining to shadow people, glimpses of movement, the small very black oval shaped objects, feeling of a cat on the bed (before we had a cat here), my eyeglasses being tugged off my head, hearing my name in whispers, etc. have all happened here. So, yes there are past experiences at this location. When I asked about smudging, this is that dwelling.

There was a period of time where the activity here seemed to stop completely. I think I even mentioned that in one of my posts. Over the past two or three weeks the activity seems to be picking up somewhat.

The night of 12-20-08, I walked through the apartment with all lights off, randomly taking pictures. I got two pictures with some very prominent orbs in them. I think the orb is the same one moving from room to room, but then I may be way off base, and could just be dust. I'll post 'em if y'all wanna see 'em.

Hi Paddlefoot,

Thanks for the response. I do recall the smudging conversations a while back. And, I also remember your comments now about your apartment's activity. I find such events curious. It is amazing how pets can sense entities even if we humans see nothing. In many cases for me that is "proof" of activity, as animals cannot help but do what is natural. Many people do not think orbs are anything more than dust and stuff floating in the air. And, many times that is exactly what it is. But, if your pets saw something and the picture showed something, likely it was definitely energy of some sort. Is it possible that during Christmas, with the tree up and unusual activity happening in your house that isn't normal, you have woken up something? You say it was quiet for a while, so that might explain it. In any case it does appear harmeless. Please continue to watch for more activity and report back to your fans here on the message board. We all love to see and discuss these activities. And, we might even learn something.

Here's the pics of the orbs. Make of them what you will.

In this picture there are 3 orbs. The one at the Christmas tree seems similar to the orb in the next shot. Conincidence? Perhaps. This particular orb or a similar one shows up in several pictures I've taken in my apartment and always in the living room area, nowhere else.

I took this shot as I walked down the steps into the living room. There were no other lights on at the time.

This picture is from the living room near the Christmas tree looking down the hallway into the kitchen.

Hey Paddlefoot,

Hard to say. I agree, make it what you will. Could be dust, could be something else. Thanks for the photos.

I've often read that true orbs sometimes have a tail that indicates motion and this one certainly does!
